Phonemos User Guide

Structure your information into sites and topics

Run as many sites (=URLs) on your Phonemos instance as you like. With each site, you address selected needs of a certain audience / user group, so use one for your intranet and a separate site for your customer extranet. Within each site, the main container for your content is a topic. Topics can represent any subject, product, process or team your are collaborating on.

Phonemos platform design

Each Phonemos instance is a technical installation of the software service with its own isolated storage. You may subscribe to your dedicated Phonemos instance with a Phonemos cloud subscription or get the software and host it on premises.

With one Phonemos instance, you may then run mutliple sites with their own URLs. The use of external services like DeepL for translations or an LLM for the semantic search are activated for each site as an opt-in option. Thus, you can turn on automatic translation for your maketing topics while turning it off on other sites to prevent any data tramsfers to these external services.

Your actual content you will usually organise in topics within a site. The topic is also the place where you usually define the permissions, though you might refine this within the topic through zones.
